Eat like a rabbit
My family celebrates Easter, and I celebrate any excuse to make treats. And of course I’m always on a mission to satisfy my sweet tooth in a healthier way, using real, whole foods ingredients and as little sugar (never refined of course) as possible. So this weekend, I was back at it. While I love my chocolate, I do like to change things up a bit so I figured what better way to honor the bunny holiday than with the ultimate rabbit food: carrots. Getting the Gut Back on Track
I’ve been working on rebalancing my gut for the past several months, because chemo and six months of antibiotics will do a serious number on gut flora. I’d already been planning on a New Year’s cleanse in January, them BAM!, gut issues hit. For the first time in my life. Maybe it was just the cumulative effects of months of drugs. Maybe I overdid it a bit over the holidays – too much too soon before my gut was rebalanced. It was probably both.
